Prof. Dr. (Safa Lutfi), Chairperson of the Patents and Industrial Design Exhibitions Committee, obtained a new patent, which is tagged (preparation of an economical and moisture-resistant vegetable carpet). The new patent is based on the preparation of vegetable carpets of natural origin and is used in the field of decoration and interior design. The vegetable carpet produced works on the employment of local raw materials extracted from the residues of the castor tree, the new patent is environmentally friendly and achieves great economic feasibility, and it is applicable. The process deals with the production of this type of vegetable carpet, which makes it available for use simply, and it can be used easily, in addition to the fact that the raw material is produced at very low prices. It has not been employed and is directed to the national industry sector. The idea of ​​carpeting is inspired by an ancient Mesopotamian industry, which is the manufacture of vegetable mats.
