The eighteenth solo exhibition of Dr. Safa Lutfi was opened in the capital, Baghdad, in the corridors of the Mansour Melia Hotel on April 16-17, 2025, amidst a large crowd of plastic artists, connoisseurs and critics. The exhibition was titled (Palm Trees and Windows / Colorful Blogs and Tales). The exhibition included more than twenty oil paintings that reflected the Iraqi architectural heritage character, and the stories of the paintings were diverse. Dr. Safa Lutfi spoke about the exhibition, saying: Palm Trees and Shanasheel / Colorful Blogs and Stories: I found these two words to be inspiring moments. We were exhausted by the dull colors and the rapid acceleration of the machine's acquisition of everything in life. I turned to them as a trace of a human being who once lived here. I turned to the colors of the sun, making them move and full of life, preparing for an approaching smile. These paintings are filled with nature and the pleasant companionship of the shanaseel and palm trees. The viewer is transported by the melodies of the flickering of each story, and through colorful and spoken narratives, he draws from this source: the shapes of the trees and the magic of the river. The colors of light play a noble music in the depths of its corners, attempting to delve into the terrain of the visual story, drawing on the depth of the photographed image and using the mechanisms of direct drawing. The colors of light, through the hidden meanings of color and its tones, embody the close connection between the shanaseel and the palm trees as a form of pure art. It is an attempt to document the aesthetics of place and nature in the shadow of all the folkloric visuals, which are full of harmonious color in reality and the painting anticipates the horizons of its lightning flashes in a storytelling atmosphere with a thousand colors and shapes, in an experimental way through the paintbrush and color pastes immersed in authenticity and life, and it is an attempt to create an interactive painting that makes the recipient interact with it to the point that he lives its atmosphere and enjoys it
