In her book "History of Islamic Art and Architecture" published by the Maktabah Lubnan Nashiron, Professor Dr. Safa Lutfi speaks in an introduction to the book, and says: There is no doubt that art is a mirror that reflects the civilization of any nation, as it is a record full of all the ideas, aspirations, and hopes of a nation. Art, and through its assets, has remained throughout history the true expression of peoples' traditions and ideas through the masterpieces it produced, many of which still exist from different eras. Within the limits of the theme of Islamic art, that art which is combined with thought in a wonderful duality to leave us with masterpieces that museums are proud of them in various parts of the world. It is worth mentioning that the diversity that Islamic art possesses makes it unique and always renewed. Moreover, the variety of its materials has made it a distinctive art throughout the ages. This art is always looking for the Absolute in each of its vocabulary which makes it a spiritual art and this is the secret of its influence on the audience, whether that audience is a Muslim or not
