A children's story has published by Dar Al-Furat for Culture and Information in association with Sama House for Printing, Publishing, and Distribution. The children's story entitled “The tale of Babylonian Kerban flower” was written and illustrated by: Professor Dr. Safa Lutfi. The historical events of the story take place in the city of Babylon and its heroine is one of the Babylonian princesses. The story mixed up the reality with legendary and imagination. While its realism is decorated with wisdom, its imagination is full of symbolism. It is realistic in terms of dealing with man and his life and dreams and it is symbolic because its events are fictional and have deep connotations and its story has a deep idea. The story is published in Arabic and English and it is a tale that uses vocabulary and names in the ancient Babylonian and Akkadian languages. So it an attempt to introduce the Iraqi child with information about his civilization in an interesting and enjoyable manner. It is the first story directed to children, issued and translated into Babylonian history. It could be a project of a cartoon film documenting the Babylonian civilization that its roots extend in the depths of history. As for the story drawings, Babylonian costumes and Babylonian features are studied and drawn accordingly.
