A “Dictionary of Terms and Concepts in the Arabic and Islamic Cultural Achievement” book has published by Dar Ibn Al-Nafis for Publishing and Distribution with an international standard number. The book that has written by Prof. Dr. Safa Lutfi and translated to English by Dr. Asmaa Abbas Ajwad is considered as a large chunk with about 400 pages long. Dr. Safa, author of the book, says: The methods and tools may differ in researching the data of the Arabic and Islamic art and its relationship to the culture, customs, and traditions that prevail in its productive societies. Thus; all these variables can be organized in relationships with each other, from influencing on and getting influenced in new or old contexts which can lead to a lot of creativity, innovation, and beauty that we can touch through the superior legacy left by the Arabic and Islamic civilization. This civilization touched on several fields, such as pottery and construction (mosques and palaces), metals (weapons, utensils, and jewelry), weaving (carpets and fabrics), miniature art, and other artistic achievements. Thus, the scent of this civilization reached the horizons. The current book comes to present a lexical study that provides the researchers with important definitions of the terms of this civilization and the concepts that accompanied it. Within these limits, the current dictionary comes to introduce in a clear way definitions of the vocabulary of this civilization.
