Analytical and historical study of Arabic and Islamic architecture and its impact on Western architecture

Professor Dr. Safa Lutfi has published a book entitled (Analytical and historical study of Arabic and Islamic architecture and its impact on Western architecture / Islamic mosques as a model) of (317) pages. The book aims to shed light on the impact of Arabic and Islamic architecture on Western architecture through studying the architectural creativity in the design, engineering, and decoration of the Arabic and Islamic mosques throughout the ages and in different regions of the Arabic and Islamic world. This book comes as an attempt to develop an analytical and historical study in the architectural design of Arabic and Islamic civilization and its impact on Western architecture / Islamic mosques as a model. Islamic architecture (the architecture of mosques in particular) is considered as one of the greatest arts of architecture produced by major civilizations because it is a comprehensive architecture that has been produced by many styles for many regions, starting with the first Islamic style that represents the Great Mosque (Mosque of Master of Beings, the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)) followed by Al-Yaman and Al-Kufa Mosques, then the architectural styles that come after that. In total, these styles are considered as the prayer beads that constitute the architecture of the Islamic mosques. The view of the Islamic human civilization has made it a global civilization, unique from the rest of the civilizations.
